We go on a wild run and learn all about credit scores, a map of all the Hyatt hotels, ponder about some recent blog action about some amazing credit cards or not/crap, visit Svalbard and Bolivia’s Salt Flats. A few links on the best personal finance articles covering Gen X Retirement, Bad Debt, Middle Class Savings. And we end with the shorter Blog Buzz section.

Amazing Deals You Can’t Miss! Or Just More Crappy Cards?. By Miles4More. Excellent recap of the main points of several credit cards. The eyes of the big pumpers are bleeding for all the missed
There is some noise again about revenue-based programs. I think they are all moving that way. And I mean both ways, earning and burning. It will be horrific to fly for free with the mere mortals again, oh the horrors 🙂

3 Types of Debt You Don’t Want. At USA Today. If you carry this debt and you are reading my blog for the miles/points related aspect…please leave immediately and stop screwing around with travel rewards credit cards until you no longer have these debts. PLEASE.
BLOG BUZZ
Note: This section is for long time followers of this hobby and references to blogs/bloggers may not make much sense if you are new to this. You are welcome to stay and read it of course but if you go WTF just remember this note! I think of TBB as the SNL of miles/points blogs and the content here is intended to be satire. If you get hurt I can refer you to my therapist!
I am making a very strong effort to purge my daily blog roundups in Feedly of the usual suspect big and small commercial blogs that just keep pumping what their masters order them. There is so much crap and repetition out there that people should think twice about starting another miles/points blog. Please, be kind to your family and stay away. It is almost impossible to make a name of yourself in such a crowded niche! Please. I am not saying that to discourage you…I am saying that to HELP you!
As promised, this section will be much shorter than the usual epic marathon length posts. I loved the entertainment and miss it believe me! But no outsourcing done here, doing my best and thanks for your support!
View from the Wing managed to bang out a couple of dozen affiliate credit card links in a post titled “Earn the Most Points for Your Spending — Use the Card That Best Leverages What You Buy Most’. The excuse? “It’s been two months since I’ve looked at credit card spending category earning.” Dang! I thought it was more often than that. Or maybe I was thinking of the Top 10 Credit Card template. And thanks for giving a little break to the marketing pitches to tell us about that asshole using the Knee Defender, that was sooooo deep!
One Mile at a Time introduced the first permanent guest blogger because he did not want to outsource the blog (WTF, thanks!). Looks like a nice guy. But let’s try to get some newbies searching online looking how to travel as a family for free. It appears this Family Travel market segment still has more fresh meat only using a debit card or, gasp, a Capital One card 🙂
Bloggers get invited all the time to get wined and dined by banks and hotels. But nobody invites me…whazzup with that? Nobody invites me to free wine and dine functions; all the bloggers bank marketing arms are at the US Open!
There are so many pics of bloggers posing in flat bed seats to attract readers to click on their credit cards. And then there are the pics of Milevalue on flat beds which, personally, I find them to be very bad. At least please delete the yawning one, WTF!!! But maybe it’s just me, I am weird.
Points, Planes and Passports joined Prior2Boarding.
Would bloggers please stop beating up on Malaysian Airlines? Thank you.
One of the most ridiculous blog posts was One Mile at a Time going absolutely bananas about the cruel and unusual punishment he endured flying First Class on Etihad. They ran out of food….Get this folks! Ran out of food, oh the grave injustice!!!
Rick, the Founder of Frugal Travel Guy (and former TBB Comments Troll), is back with his best blog post ever. We are talking about taking time away to sit down and reach deep in the vault of all this expert knowledge accumulating for years folks! Here it is, please hold your applause and wild excitement: “TopCashBack is Offering You $10 to Join”. You can bet your credit score that this breakthrough of expert tip would never see the light of the day if it was not for the referral dinero! I can not believe these KKR dudes keep paying for posts like this AND allow him to pump his own referral links! Who cares as long as what matters keeps happening, credit card conversions people! Don’t FTG readers get they are treated like Tools? I bet they are but then they keep drawing in new meat and pump them credit cards seven at a time (or more!). I bet the only one thinking that was a brilliant post was…Delta Points!

TravelBloggerBuzz says
I have had them almost all. I have slowed down, no doubt. I mean, I even went for the Spirit cards lol. That rejection by Citibank still bothers me! Yes I don’t push the limits on the “dates” between apps because….I don’t like rejections 🙂

Goodbye to everyone it has been a blast. Of course, a special thank you to Buzz, for letting exercise my demons on your website. I will still be a reader, but I am very busy now with my new job as a coach/towel boy for the German Woman’s National Swim Team…………………………………………. http://i.imgur.com/Oekc4.jpg

Please please don’t leave, I promise I won’t post another one. I thought our agreement covered only Hotel toilet pics!
Please don’t go. After taking a second look, PLEASE TAKE ME WITH YOU!
P.S. Waiting for some troll to accuse me of supporting porn, being a sexist and other crap. Waiting…
Kumar says
Hah, there you go George. I can sense the envy somewhere through the cloud. I am also interested in joining Ramsey as an Intern. Ramsey, my new boss, what can i do for you now 🙂
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I want to be Ramsey 🙂
Kumar says
Oh no, George. Looks like Ramsey is very busy in his new work and he really meant that he is leaving us. He is yet to respond back to any of our comments. I am going to get a heart attack, George. Can you please pass on his email address? I will keep clicking your amazon link till my death 😉

DP has a post on waiting before you “yell” on social media.
A bit rich coming from someone that tweeted SPG (not the hotel, mind you – but the frequent stay program) when their airport shuttle was running late.

I have that marked for “review”. In Feedly of course.
MMS is some piece of work posting about the 3x CSP First Friday. No wonder his mother in law is nowhere to be seen anymore! Also posted an interview of a new blog that reads like SO many others….yawn.

George, i guess some problem with your Uber link. After entering information and clicking on Sign Up, i am getting page not found error. Tried twice without success 🙁

Been out of Feedly action since 10 am.
Had meeting w/ prospective client who has been mauled by an outfit who has sold him a bunch of annuities and whole life insurance policies. My god, my eye sockets were bleeding! Felt like a “travel” blogger expert recommending what products is good for them and not the client. This guy finally saw the light and is going to ask them to sign a Fiduciary Oath. I told him to take a picture of the advisor’s face when he hears that. LOL.
Funny how people finally get it when something is sold to them that may not be in their best interest…
The sad thing is that it may be way too late for this guy…
This response went off a little bit…I am still shaking my head…Never saw so many crappy annuities stuffed inside IRAs…Motherfickers!
