I am seeing many posts about how to pay taxes with a credit card. For people who know what they are doing I guess is fine as I assume they realize what could go wrong as well and are prepared to deal with it. Will I ever trust an outfit like Plastiq to send a check on my behalf to the IRS for taxes? Hell NOOOO! Titan bloggers are only doing this to sell credit cards. But you knew that already 🙂

Look, this is what I am talking about. Or this! Or this too. I could go on for ever every day but who has the time? These act as a PSA, please direct newbies here. Or, better, tell them to stay away before they get hurt, this hobby is not for the masses! Ok, back to my point. Same old credit card driven content. Every day. Same cards. Same blogs. Helloooooo? It amazes me people think the information in these sites is not full of conflicts of interest. The argument usually goes…”well, they spend all this time on the site, they ought to get paid”. Really? And so do we I and many other bloggers in this space who try to put readers FIRST and not think of them as a dollar sign and only in terms of “conversions”. Ok, I better come down. TBB=EEI..the 2nd E stands for Education.

I wasted five minutes of my life for YOU to watch The Points Guy in the Today Show. Amazing PR reach lately, the guy is busting his butt to increase the target market to clueless newbies who never had a Chase Sapphire Preferred card yet. If you can’t get approved for another card due to the 5/24 rule, well, what do ya think? Did I learn anything? Nope. I should have clicked away after the first tip was to use my credit card for dining #wow.
