This post is for newbies mostly and shows you how to get up to 16 hotel nights for free AND get $50 as statement credit with the Chase IHG Rewards Mastercard!
TBB Blog Mission: To Entertain. Educate. Inspire. In That Order!

If you have spending control issues or carry credit card debt please leave NOW, this is not the place for you! If you have to think about how to spend $1,000 please leave now, this hobby is not for you! Think about it. You can buy gas or grocery gift cards, pay your utilities, make a charitable donation at the end of the year or whatever to satisfy the spending requirement and receive 80,000 IHG Rewards points and you can STILL cancel the darn card before the year is out. And you can get $50 off your first bill, imagine that, what a deal!
If this is too much to handle you are just not cut out for this; this hobby/game/addiction requires some decent organization skills and of course some discipline along with the desire to SAVE money on travel costs!Β If you have credit card debt please follow David Ramseyβs debt killing advice (but NOT his investment advice!) and stay away from any credit card until you exhibit signs you can control your spending! You should also have an emergency fund set up too! Never ever get a card BEFORE you wipe out ALL credit card debt; carrying a balance is NOT allowed! I must proudly state that I have personally never paid a single penny of interest in many years of doing this and have earned millions, err, gazillions of miles/points and have traveled the world for a fraction of the cost like this!
Me and Mrs. TBB have this card so the link reverts to the standard crappy offer. If this offer does not come up try clearing cookies or try with different browsers. Or incognito (not sure what this is but I heard it elsewhere and sure sounds kind of neat!).
If you see an IHG Rewards Club credit card being sold in other blogs without THIS offer we mention here rest assured YOUR well being is NOT FIRST in those blogs so tell them, respectfully as always, to SUCK it!
IHG just bought the Kimpton Hotels so soon you will be able to redeem your points to stay in these boutique hotels! Or you can experience the magnificent Intercontinental Hong Kong like I recently did and wake up to this gorgeous view from your room:
This blog receives no compensation if you click and apply and receive this IHG Rewards Mastercard!
Please pass my blog link to your friends and family if you think they will enjoy it too.

I think if I switch to posting in mid day you may have a chance for First! Posting around midnight is out of the question as you are probably defeated at home and crashed by that time due to babydiaperitis

Sellout?
John says
Sorry, Couldn’t help myself, the fact that you don’t have 19 affiliate links in there for worse offers is what sets you apart.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah π
I really mean it if another blogger keeps touting IHG and staying for free and does NOT mention this offer I so hope readers tell them to SUCK it.
This was written more for some total newb colleagues who think what I am doing is not legit or just plain bad. I know they can handle this…it just takes some time for the light bulb to go off π

Only problem with the premise is that the Pointbreaks lists in recent quarters have been more “meh” than “yeah!”, in my opinion. I guess if you need 16 nights at a Holiday Inn Express in Kokomo, then it’s great. Still, the card is worth keeping because I can usually wring more value than $49 out of the free night certificate and the Platinum elite status is better than nothing.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I absolutely agree with your comment.

Should I pay the annual fee until the end of time or churn?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I am keeping the card, Mrs. TBB is not. That’s the current plan anyways.

Getting “Offer is not available” and getting routed to 60k offer π
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yep, me too. I asked about it here and was told it comes up for others so it made the wiki. I think when something makes the wiki it is legit π

It may have to do with the fact that we currently have the card along with a boat load of others from Chase…We are taking a break as it just kills me not going for the Ritz Carlton cards!

I decided to apply for RC card for both me and my wife yesterday and got approved for both with highest credit limits that i didnt even imagine. Just waiting to get it on time to claim 300 each for this year. Hope i get them on time. By the way if i could get them with so many credit inquiries this year, i am sure you too could. Dont forget to apply for your wife too π All the best and i dont mind being treated for a coffee at panera π
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Currently have about a dozen Chase cards and many of them acquired recently so I don’t want to rock the boat. Besides I have enough airline credits already. and if there is a hotel chain I despise…Marriott it is. Hope this is around late next year.
Just came back from Panera, lines are getting a little absurd there lately!
