I am finding much less worthy action in the blogs I follow. Not sure if this is due to the holiday week or…just bloggers giving up left and right amid a period not that exciting for this quirky hobby…So, this is likely going to be a short post.

This blog has gone to mega pump circles now, wow! Are you kidding me? I need to clarify something, I am only against DIRECT plastic affiliate links embedded in posts that are written solely to…embed such links! For example, I do NOT consider this pumping at all but I am biased entertaining myself I guess and have the clicks to prove it lol.
This blogger got upset and could not understand why all the whining for the credit card links? And then writes yet ANOTHER “glorious” post about these amazing SPG cards, shaking my head to oblivion. Wow! But only six SPG credit card links so I guess this does not count.
So amusing how haters bitch at me for…pumping my crappy links in the same darn place on the top of each post, a monthly support post and a few times here and there on Twitter, mostly for our my entertainment. I was so upset about this I took it out on sushi at the Miki restaurant downtown Ann Arbor. For reasons not yet identified, it was my first time there, wow! Loved the sushi by the way, nicely done.
I used my $400 United bump voucher on son’s trip to Puerto Vallarta for Spring Break. I may regret this…

Great reference post for newbies. Yeah, some read me too. Hope to get them to apply for an SPG card if they can show they can handle it 🙂

about AA devaluation… Posting an AA guide on March 23rd – still scratching my head
I get a very broad mix of questions on my blog. Some of them are very “expert.” People wondering why they can’t book a United award with 15 segments and two open jaws, when both of those open jaws are in the middle of the itinerary. Then they get belligerent when I agree with the United agent and her supervisor who said the routing was illegal. And they get rude when I suggest ways to fix the problem because they already invested so much time in their perfect trip.
At the other extreme, I get some very “basic” questions. People who don’t know how to book a simple award. They have miles. They know they have value. They’re not sure why they can’t travel on the day they want or why they still have to pay hundreds in fees. They just want to visit family. When I point out that there is more award space out there, or that a couple small things can let them save money, they’re very grateful.
I’d much rather write for that second group. They not only need the help, but the actually appreciate it.
