Really good guide on points “pooling” of bank transferable programs.
IAG, the parent of British Airways, is getting in on this bare bones cross Atlantic fares thingie with its own low-cost airline. Its name: Level. What a ridiculous name for an airline, wtf!
These are cool…21 Insanely Cool Hotel Pools. I have been to the one in the Santiago W. Not that impressed.
The most outrageous hotel amenities. Hmm, in-room bartender and followed up by recovery concierge, I am in!

Here are just 15 of the obstacles we face:
- No accomplishment leaves us happy and satisfied for long.
- Our days are numbered, but we don’t know the count.
- Next week, the house will need to be cleaned again.
- We hunger to relax, only to hanker for activity.
- We do foolish things to feel better in the moment: smoke, gamble, drink too much, take drugs, eat badly, spend excessively.
- We think we know others, but we only ever know part of their story.
- Today’s proudly purchased possessions elicit tomorrow’s ho-hum.
- We have unwavering trust in our own unreliable memories.
- We keep having to stop for sleep and sustenance.
- We’re surrounded by lesser mortals, who refuse to see things our way.
- Our bodies fail us gradually, and sometimes all too quickly.
- After we cross the finish line, another appears in the distance.
- We think we’re rational, but much of the time we aren’t thinking straight.
- For any given activity, there’s a 50% chance we’re below average.
- Today’s issues seem so important. A year from now, we can’t imagine why.

How to Upgrade Emirates Flights with Miles. If you insist I guess…
Pissed off holding AA miles and not finding award seats? How about burning some to South America. Huuuuuryyyyy!
This is a good reminder that things can and will go wrong in this hobby. My 86 Day $2,415 Gift Card Mall Nightmare. So, just be aware. Of course you won’t hear much of that from credit card salesmen who are too busy selling credit cards to bother with this type of activity #expertsmyass
One day this will make a great parody but I need to work on her… #slowly

The GC nightmare lady took some tough hits in the comments on her post. After the fact, even a fool is wise. Or something like that.

That report needed a better primer.
My first thought was similar to other readers. If the full amounts were in the cards, just cash them out ASAP.

I like cautionary MS tales. Helps the newbies realize that this may not be for them.
I have one client who always votes on a single issue. I love the guy but we avoid politics. We just talked and said he does not see Trump lasting four years “He is just too crazy”…I love the guy regardless how he votes…
Anyway, such a weird day in Capitol Hill…Not sure what to make of this Comey dude…I think he likes the attention too 🙂

How I got 20-50% of my vertical screen real estate back from TBB.

I don’ use Adblock so I am not following…
I only use one ad, the cc.com ad banner on the right side….so…I think you killed my amazing logo that indeed takes a lot of space? Are you saying my logo is not amazing and it is awfully big? Ok, it is big but have no idea how to change it anyway…
HikerT says
I nuked the sticky header that stays up 100% of the time. It blocks 1/5 of my screen. Horrible web practice. Minimize it and make it scroll with the screen. No reason to make it a sticky the size of a banner ad.
I also nuked the logo which frees up another 50% of my screen (although at least it can be scrolled away). I prefer to start reading content upon visiting a page and not have to needlessly scroll my screen to get to it. YMMV.
Not to mention WTF is up web sites thinking it acceptable practice in 2017 to display pop ups? Browsers didn’t start blocking that shit more than a decade ago for no good reason. No I don’t want to f-ing subscribe to every f-ing site I visit, lol. Don’t pop up that shit!
OK, I realize you probably had your kid design TBB, just my 2 cents. Just say no to sticky headers, logos that take up another 50% of the vertical screen, and for the love of god, no bleeping pop ups.
