I tell you about a piece of software I am madly in love with ever since I started using it and share with you two phenomenal reads that I enjoyed and perhaps you may enjoy too.

ROBOFORM
On my To Do list there is a “Top 10 Software I use Online”. Doing ten it is obviously way too long to do on a single post so I will tell you about the piece of software I just can not function without. I am dead serious…I would not be able to function at all without RoboForm! Let’s get the disclosure out of the way right here. I LOVE this baby so much I went and enrolled in its affiliate program. I have it as a banner under the Amazon link on the right hand side and this is the actual AFFILIATE LINKΒ . Nobody has actually purchased the software from my link so I am making a killing on it lol. Actually, you don’t have to buy it as you can use it for free to check it out. I could blast it all over my blog post 35 times like some of our favorite bloggers do daily and repeat the post every week but I may feel like a whore desperate for a buck. So…I just want to tell you finally why I love it so much.
Roboform is known as a password manager. But is is MUCH more than that! Yes, it does manage your passwords and does a splendid job at it! I currently have about 650 of them in it! I can click on “Logins” and they all come up and then click on the one I want and boom I am inside that account! When you get to a login page it detects it and the correct user/password combination appears as a tab ready for you to click and have it filled in with…just one click! No fumbling around to find the darn combinations!
It is also a form filler. Meaning I can set up identities (me,wife, son, daughter, business1, business2, etc.) and then when it comes time to fill out a form I click on the specific identity button and boom almost everything is filled out. How do you think I win so many promotions or sweepstakes? By filling out all my info on the forms? Huh? No way Jose, that would be too time consuming!
There is more.Β It has a password generator so you don’t have to keep using the same one (please don’t do that!). And they are pretty darn strong passwords!
Not done yet. It has a SafeNotes feature.Β I use this to keep more information on the specific accounts. For example, I keep in there all the necessary info for all my Bluebird accounts. And then all that annoying info on the security questions and answers of online accounts. And so forth.
You can also use it to keep your Bookmarks and Contacts and I simply do not use these two functions.
I have the RoboForm Everywhere version now and get to synchronize among all my computers.Β I think I paid $19.95 to renew for another year. Did not blink once, the value I get out of this software is so immense! I have been using and paying for Roboform ever since a colleague told me about it in a financial planner conference almost 10 years ago!
It is on sale for $9.95 for the first year if you buy it now.
How about security? It has the strongest encryption and is used by “Fortune 500 companies and the US government”. Of course you never know in today’s world but I have not had any problems whatsoever. There is one caution: YOU MUST NEVER FORGET ONE PASSWORD…THE MASTER PASSWORD. If you forget the Master password, you are TOTALLY SCREWED! You have been warned!
I have no intention to ever stop using RoboForm!
When I finally do the Top 10 it will be First π
SEAT 21A – a window seat reminder of humanity
I LOVED this story about what happened when someone sat on the author’s plane seat. This is one of the most touching and uplifting articles I have read online recently. And so relevant to my blog as we all may have been there. This is why I cringe when I see others bitch about the pre departure drink being late or the person reclining too much or whatever. Take a few moments to read it, I think you will enjoy it as much as I did!
“So next time someone is sitting in your window seat* think twice about how youβre going to react. Wait a second before you act. It might just change your life.”
College Students: I Failed. I Had Many Doubts. Yet, I Persevered. So Can You
This is an open letter from a professor colleague of mine to his freshman students. Reading it reasonated with me so much I am sharing the linkΒ with you here to pass it on to your children or to others who may have children starting college. I sure hope someone told me these things when I started college. For the first two months of my freshman year I had the greatest time of my life and almost flunked out before I realized I went there to…study πΒ I felt like Superman!

@Buzz, the “Seat 21A” and College posts are totally a big reason why I read your blog. I call them Discovery Posts. I don’t know where you pull these gems, but somehow when I finish reading your blog and any associated links I nearly always have a smile on my face. And that is totally worth the 5-10 minutes of time invested. And given that you are the legendary TBB, I know that following one of these links is probably not going to cause me to get bombarded with a 35 link cc post. Thanks dude! π

+1
“never give up” sounds more honest when you say it Buzz…
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thank you Erik and Andrew.
Comments like this bring a smile on my face!
No fear of getting ambushed by a 35 cc link post around here. Then again maybe this is why Roboform has not scored a single sale for TBB π

Just still can’t digest the MF bastard at Alamo charging me extra fuel charges despite showing receipt, stating that the tank is not showing full. What am I supposed to do? Keep fueling till it spills out? I can only fuel till the pump automatically stops dispensing. The problem is not lack of belief. It is all in their genes to Screw others when you get a chance. To Show that you are the boss when you get a chance. I thought I hacked my trip by booking for Full size and getting Premium at the best possible rate in the town but WTF – I ended up paying extra fuel charges on top of what I already paid. I really don’t know how to handle this situation. Taking on my nerves. Though I want to solace myself that I am the winner due to my hacking knowledge, I am a loser. What to do? Read TBB comments and be entertained. What else can I do π
Kumar says
By the way today’s TBB post was leaning more towards education and inspiration than entertainment. Good read though. I tried to relate my incident to 21A story but still can’t find any correlation as in my case I lost my hard earned money for sheer arrogance and no fault of mine π
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah, definitely not so much entertainment in today’s post!
Alamo and Budget tend to suck more than the others imho. Well, they all suck. I don’t trust car rental companies. They are like…banks π
Can you dispute the charge to the credit card company? Years ago this happened to me when I purposely did not feel it up as much as I should have. And they dinged me (think it was Alamo). Ever since I fill up the tank…way up. And take a photo of the gas receipt with my phone. Just in case.
I also read TBB comments to entertain myself π

Seat 21A: Why was the guy being so passive-aggressive about the seat at the beginning? Why didn’t he just politely say something like, “Excuse me, I think you might be in my seat, do you have 21A?”
Kumar says
I felt the same. That is what I would have done but as a story it was good to read.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
There you go Nick not choosing happiness again π
Rejoice man! Kids are in school in my house. Time to celebrate!
Maybe he liked how she felt comfortable in the window seat. Still, just a beautiful story. I liked how he was going to tweet about it and caught himself. And how we escape so easily in today’s world with our phones instead of connecting with people. I miss the days when we did not have phones and ipads and tablets with us.
Nick @ Personal Finance Digest says
I’m angry, George, so why on earth would I want to choose happiness?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Can we be angrily happy? Or happy being angry? Discuss :-)…No wait, Think! And then discuss. Or…screw it, do whatever you want!

LOL, authentic TBB response π

Nice post, George. I feel the same as Eric re: “Discovery Post”. Unfortunately, the pleasant buzz from reading your post quickly evaporated when I read FM’s post bashing Drew. I’m undoubtedly paranoid & delusional, but the thought did occur that the powers that be at the cesspool known as Boarding Area felt the need to send out one of the few bloggers they have left with any credibility to do a “swift boat” attack on the blogger with more integrity than anyone.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yes I saw that in Feedly but won’t get to read it until later today. “Swift boat” attack, lol.
I am still suspicious of this new card. I can not point to it but something still does not smell right. 2% cash back with no annual fee seems way too generous. At least the Fidelity folks were hooking you with a Fidelity account. Anyways, I am not getting the card. For the near future. Will try to get the Arrival annual fee waived and stick with it.
Raffles says
Some of FM’s points seem fair. It comes down, in many case, to whether different cards arr substitutes or not.
If you need to choose between the Hyatt and Marriott cards then you should go Hyatt. If you can get both, it doesn’t really matter does it? (Unless, of course, the Marriott deal is not the current best offer or the card is not churnable and the offer is often higher.)
Live in the UK and the Marriott card comes with a 10k bonus ….
msmcmotown says
Maybe I missed it, or my feeble mind has misplaced it, but I can’t ever recall FM calling out by name GLeff, Lucky or any of the other BA pumpers for their far more egregious posts.
Drew seems like a guy who doesn’t see much grey in the world–lots of black and white. And his writing is not always as crisp as it could be. His basic point was that it “sucks” when bloggers pump these inferior cc to newbies. You had to read his responses in the comments to fully get that. FM did not do that.
I’m just kind of taken aback that FM, and PFD, feel the need to cut fine hairs to dispute a post whose basic point they agree with.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
You both make great points.
I think they are just trying to get some content out there. And “controversial” posts do create noise. Meaning traffic goes up π
This point by msmcmotown is is great actually: “I canβt ever recall FM calling out by name GLeff, Lucky or any of the other BA pumpers for their far more egregious posts”.
Kumar says
With all these good bloggers coming up with their views and with comments section adding more content, i think readers like me are truly treated to some great reading never seen in this blog space for as long as i know. I Love This π

George – Thanks for sharing “Seat 21A” article. It is such a wonderful read. IMHO, most young people in this country take a lot of things for granted. We came to this country as refugees (boat people), and education was our way to have better things here. When people are born here, they already win the “birth lottery…” Thanks.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
You are welcome. I agree with everything you said. My grandparents were boat people when they were kicked out of their homes in Minor Asia in what is now Turkey. Started from scratch in new places scattered all over Greece. During WWII they had to steal from German trucks and storage buildings to feed my…parents. Lost grandfather in that war. The rest of the family had to pitch in to help raise my dad and his 4 brothers. All pitched in to send my dad to the city to finish high school, he was the only one to go to HS! (Village was too small to have a HS!) I can still feel the pride in him whenever he was talking about that. Managed to send two kids to the US to study, looking back what a feat that was! I see the same from my wife’s culture (Malaysian Chinese) and our Vietnamese friends. Education comes first. I could go on…but won’t for now. Thanks.
Kumar says
Truly inspiring, George. Please do share some key experiences like these as you go along. Life is such a complex thing – it is not complete without leaving out any stones unturned – be it entertainment, misery, joy, sorrow, height, depth, length, width, so on and so forth. One can be truly rich only if he/she has seen the full cycle. Rich in terms of money will not teach all things in life. Eating sweet always is not good for health, one will end up with diabetes. Love all your posts, friend. Continue to entertain, educate and inspire us.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Wow, thanks. It would be better for me to walk away if you told me “Your blog Sucks!: π
Entertainment comes first. Before Education (of kids)…you guys don’t need much education, you are all sharp. The antithesis of MMS readers lol.
Ok, need to sign off. Need to pay some bills!

Yes, we could go on for hours on these subjects π I was in WM last night to feed the bird. The line was very long, and normally, I was just reading news while waiting in line. However, that time, I was making conversation to other people in lines to learn that one woman was about to send money to help her relatives in Mexico, a man who took his son on a bike to cash his check, etc. Again, thanks for the Seat21A.

Thanks for a very very positive articles away from normal miles blogging

You are very welcome, glad you enjoyed these as much as I did…I think I am slowly going to turn my blog to more general topics…so I can target all the newbies and hit them upside the head with my Amazon link lol.

Just catching up and glad I didn’t miss this post. Liked the Seat 21A piece although it was a bit too repetitive for me. But the theme is a good one and it had me rethinking how I reacted when we nearly missed our final flight home due to various TSA troubles, including my husband’s bags getting caught in the xray machine! No, they were not too big; the machine broke with his bags in the tunnel! Anyway, I exuded way too much negative energy during the long wait as I feared we’d surely miss our flight. Ironically when I finally got to my seat, someone was in it! I had no trouble asking her to move back to her assigned middle seat, so I could occupy the aisle one….No Bailey’s for me.
Also thanks for the Robotform review. I am still dithering about which PW program to go for. Gotta get on that. Cheers!
