Amex Platinum vs. Citi Prestige. For pumping bloggers….the answer is clear: Whichever pays them. If both do, Both!
You can game Singapore Suites award availability…
Aeroplan’s Air Canada cheat sheet for using its miles.
Interesting find by The Deal Mommy for discounted rooms in Europe: Sheradill. I could make my own account and pump my own link but I won’t as I don’t have time to research/use it myself so use hers. I only pump shit that has been approved by me here lol.
The very first media hacking hit was many years by The Pudding Guy. It is amazing to me how he still gets publicity from it! And David is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet!

Thanks for the Nicaragua lobster link, interesting stuff! I had no idea there was a lobster industry out there. The eastern part of the country may as well be another country. My wife is a native and she’s never even been there.

If you’ve ever eaten lobster at Red Lobster, 98% chance it lived in Nicaraguan waters. BTW the author totally missed the TRULY dangerous lobster fishing in the Miskito Cayes – done from those same small boats but using a hose and a compressor!!
Captain Ditto worked for my dear departed best friend in Puerto Cabezas (Bilwi) – queue that annoying Disney song about the world being small…
Have spent MUCHO time on the Dangerous Atlantic Coast (DAC) of Nicaragua — even had a rented house in Puerto Cabezas right off the runway. It truly is a whole ‘nuther country – but then so is Nicaragua. Most ex-pats have two expressions to define Nicaragua:
1. Where lead floats and cork sinks
2. The land of the not-quite-right
These days I spend most of my days when not traveling (and NOT for freeeeeeee like most of y’all) in Costa Rica to be closer to my daughter but Nicalandia is always on my mind…

It’s not even just Nicaragua–almost the entire Atlantic coast of Central America has low population and little development. Most of the region’s population lives in the west and/or the highlands:
