I believe it was very recently that bloggers proudly annonunced the great way to use Hawaiian Airline miles on Virgin Atlantic flights. Well, very shortly after that, suddenly with no warning (boo!) Hawaiian announced the huge devaluation of this award! Wow, this one did not last long. We at TBB do not even have a Hawaiian Airilnes account (I know, it is shocking!) so it did not bother us a bit. For the reader who just transferred a chunk of miles to Hawaiian, we are very sorry. Please complain to your favorite bloggers, not us!
Is it just me or am I just getting bored by all the trip reports by Ben flying First Class, they all look the same lately. And STILL no pic of the wet towel, instead we had a pic of a pathetic blanket. I am now counting Thai Air and Cathay Pacific had NO wet towel pics! Back to Back! Please someone tell him to come to his senses, he can not do this to us anymore! Thank you for listening Ben, even though ever since you moved to Seattle you just do not appear the same. You can always move back to Tampa, you never missed a wet towel pic in your trip reports while living there!
For hotel news, the authority is Loyalty Traveler. So refreshing you are not attacked by credit card links in his site. Just excellent content related to hotels. Here he talks about how to recognize true hotel promotions and he says: “Hotel promotional sales are marketing gimmicks. The worst part of these sales are the common feature of making the promotional rates prepaid and nonrefundable. Bottom line: Buyer Beware when it comes to hotel promotional sales.”
