The reddit/churning guys have this new Credit Card Offers worksheet. Another place to keep up with the latest credit card offers. With non affiliate links and links to FT discussions. This is the kind of link that Titan bloggers will NEVER publicize! For obvious reasons. Umm, why would you do this TBB then, it will hurt your conversions! It’s simple…because it will help readers! And readers always come first! This is not a Frugal Travel Guy type operation around here where…conversions always come first!
Devil’s Advocate at Travel Codex is pondering “Why Are Points and Miles Better Than Cashback?“. I think he is right on…again. And I think he nails it in the conclusion: “…in the end, the debate between miles versus cashback might be less important that picking up the right cards at the right time, when you can maximize signup offers and pick the cards that work best for your particular circumstances. So keep that in mind the next time someone swears to you that “the best card for travel is…”
The IHG Rewards card has been spotted for 80k points AND a statement credit for $50. Check the wiki in this FT thread. Newbies: The bank is paying YOU and giving you 80k points! What a country lol! If you see bloggers selling this card for 60k points click.away.pronto! Or read this post by Running With Miles to learn more about this EVER moving credit card target!

Matador Network has a post about families taking their kids on their road. Interesting…
Excellent post on Ad-Blocking and all the bullshit we are dealing with lately at The Lefsetz Letter. A few excerpts:
It’s like there are two internets. One of skeptical consumers doing their best to navigate their lives and the other of scumbag providers doing their best to win through subterfuge.
People are sick and tired of losing their privacy. They’re sick and tired of being tracked. There’s nothing as weird as seeing an ad for a product follow you around the web. Do you want to trust these people? Did you trust the Stasi?
Furthermore, ad prices have been sinking online, because spots are ineffectual. The web is littered with link-bait no better than Nigerian money scams.
Ads are dying in television. They’ve hobbled radio. And now you’ve got internet sites telling us they must remain? Make me laugh, when I’m not puking. There’s got to be a better way.
And it’s via trust.
If you can’t get the consumer on YOUR side, you’re doomed.
I have ads on the right hand side but I have never seen a payment from them. I think there may be one coming soon. As soon as it lands, I am taking them down. My site will be ad-free going forward after that. I am sorry for inflicting this crap on you.
Here’s the Easiest Way for Millennials to Become Millionaires. At Money. There is no magic to it. Start early, save a lot, keep doing it!

Extreme tourist attractions for the ultimate daredevil.
Please a standing ovation for the octopus! Tell me where else you will learn this stuff? Titans are too busy pumping the credit card product de jour!
And I leave you with this…
Newbie alert: Check out the no annual fee Citi Hilton Visa for a signing bonus of 75,000 Hilton HHonors points. This bonus is ending September 30. It will probably be offered again so it is not your last chance, tell them to stick it when you see bloggers scream that it is! It earns 3x on drugstores, gives Silver status which allows you to claim the 5th night free on awards, new Citi offers coming soon to compete against the Amex Offers, may not get you more than one night in a top rated property but could get you more than a few nights for FREE in Category 1 and 2 hotels. Name of the game is: Hey bank, you are giving me all these points for me to fly or stay at hotels for free with no annual fee? Seriously? You mean, you make money from people who do not pay their credit card balances in full every month? What? Not happening with me! Neveh. GRACIAS! The card can be found at the Credit Cards tab above, click on the link/banner, click on “Card Type”, click on “Citi”, scroll down, click on the green “Apply Now”. Thanks! Or go for the IHG Rewards card above where the bank actually pays YOU!

Nice @ Credit Card Offers Worksheet. Noticed a small mistake with the Amex Every Day CC, it’s 2K spend, not 1K.

Good eyes, TBB readers are the best!

I am not kidding about you being on TBPP!
Enrico Palazzo's Flying Free Points and Miles Secrets says
Come to think of it, as Dean Palazzo I have decided, you, TBB, are now on DTBPP (DOUBLE TOILET BOWL PIC PROBATION). Anymore violations and you will be subject to beatings with a selfie stick (the number 2 cause of selfie deaths, right after selfie on selfie gang murders).
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Oh crap (stupid pun intended) I just realized that was a toilet! Man, does it really count though…it is not a REAL toilet. I say you cut me some slack and don’t start my DTBPP probation yet…por favor!
Gracias!

tripstreak tool was total fail. PDX–>LHR gave NO results for my date. Plenty of award tickets available though…
The tool you had earlier this week–the calculator–was pretty good. Pretty useful.

Great feedback, the reason I threw this one out. Sure looked the prettier but more interested in the substance 🙂
U talking about the excel based Award Calculator or the one with the interesting title excursionsists or something? 🙂

Well I don’t mind it but that’s just me. The reason being that he has already directed us to multiple other places to get credit cards that don’t give kickbacks to him, also the info provided here is useful and generally free from BS.
But always good to have people keeping us honest.
Anyway I agree with whoever said lots of great info this week.
Those hotel cc offers sound good but I would have to learn about what those points are worth in real terms, in the real world, including how many points it takes to stay in which locations etc etc and right now it is a little complicate for me to clutter my brain with that. Kind of like you Buzz, trying to sort the details on time share stuff.
Funny I was having a slight conscience attack about MS at Staples 5X Ink -> BB and so forth, to each his own, I’m going to continue for the time being but it gave me something to think about.
