Thank you to The common man and Harvson3 for these two brilliant comments recently in the amazing TBB comments section.
No Amazon link again, you know where to find it. Sorry I don’t know how to make those fancy red arrows.
At the end of the day, we are all trying to figure out the meaning of life together. All I know is the TBB comments section enhances the quality of my life. So thank you to all who contribute.
Full disclosure: No templates of any kind were used in the creation of this blog post.
This comment was made by The common man in this TBB blog post:
Here are some nominees for the inaugural version of the Douchie Awards:
1) Dullta-Points: Erasing TBB’s name from the list of nominees in the Frequent Business Traveler Awards
2) OneLimeAtaTime – the infamous Kickstarter debacle
3) Viewfromtheloo – Writing a post calling attention to the AA customer service rep’s tweet decrying the kickstarter stunt
4) Bilevalue – Complaining to Uber about his driver scamming him for a grand total of 90 cents in what was probably an honest mistake on part of the driver
5) MillionEmilyPhotos – Sneaking into airport security lines using a grocery store card (wtf)
6) PointsMilesandAffiliateLinks – Sneaking into hotel pools in NYC without staying at the hotel
7) Canadianbaby – Complaining to the DOT after being legitimately denied boarding on a cabotage ticket, and killing the LM program as a result
8) ThePointsMeh – Killing the US Airways no YQ deal
9) Viewfromtheloo – second nomination for taking pictures of others on vacation and passing judgment on how they are not enjoying the location
10) (st)ingy – claiming he was discriminated against as a senior by UA for not honoring his 4 mile award ticket.
Feel free to add to the list! Maybe we can arrange for the award ceremony to be held at the PH Maldives!
PS: Did you know that you too can stay at the PH Maldives by using your chase points earned by the card. Stay Chase-y, my friends.

Register the domain prior2blogging.com.
Each visitor should walk through steps:
Step 1: Go read the vast variety of miles/points travel blogs out there.
Step 2: Do you know more about hotels than LoyaltyLobby, more about airplanes than the Wandering Aramean, more about manufactured spending than the sausage fest at Saverocity or MileageUpdate, more about soulless luxury travel than LuckyCoins, or more about family travel than the existing twelve family travel blogs?
Step 3: If your answer to the above is “no,” then congratulations, you don’t need anything more than a personal blog for friends and family, or to practice and display your writing or photography skills. We have enough miles/points blogs, thank you. Most of them are terrible.
Step 4: If your answer to the above is “yes,” then answer this question: “Really?”
Step 5: If your answer to the question in Step 4 is “Yes, really,” then, fine, blog, see if we care.

Curiouser and curiouser:
Argentina defaulted to holdout bondholders last night, but analysts still expect a deal to be struck.
Argentina lost to Germany in the World Cup final.
From this morning’s Reuter’s article:
Dun dun duh…..!
Nick @ Personal Finance Digest says
So what’s the deal here, do Euro banks have lots of sketchy Argentine debt on their books in addition to all the sketchy Euro debt they already have?
Steve says
Maybe it’s because I haven’t been going to TPG especially often, but has this “Weekly Wish” post really been a regular feature?
You know it’s a slow news cycle in the points & miles blogosphere when TPG has run out of content to steal from other bloggers
Has anyone had more than 1 post on the Chase Ink 70K offers? Judging by the rate at which that is getting posted about compared to how much the 60K offer got talked about, is it safe to assume that they consider the 60K offer to be superior?
harvson3 says
By the way, being posted alongside the person who coined the phrase “Stay Chase-y, my friends” makes me feel like this guy.

Lots of drama today in the blogosphere. So time to detox with making a run in my local banks/WM/Mall/Coneyisland/gym and not necessarily in that order!
Big games are being played with them Argentinian bonds!
I think the Weekly Wish feature is new.
That made me laugh AgendaGuy. This blog is template free!
Nobody ordered anything from my Amazon link yesterday. Not only that but I have been called a bully and one of the angrys. I can take it. What will be the cost? Less people click on my Amazon link? Lolololololol
Tomorrow is August 1st, this summer is going by in the speed of light, wow!
Please ignore SteveSucks.

Any recommendations on what card to use when dining?

You know when it’s all said and done, you are going to feel proud one day. That’s all I have to say about that.
AgendaGuy says
Comment was about TBB. Not to say I don’t love my main man Steve either.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
AgendaGuy: What I am most proud of all is that I am still alive and kicking, errr blogging and entertaining…primarily myself 🙂 One day KKR will buy me out and I run FTG bwahahaahahahaha.
Steve: Thanks for the reminder! I gotta eat out tomorrow for the 3x pts. I was relying on ftg to let me know…guess they are too busy commenting on other sites about the angrys lol
Dan says
Thanks for the reminder guys, will have to go to Template 62, CSP First Friday
Actually did well with it in July thanks to paying a caterer: http://i.dansdeals.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/csp.png

Stunned and disappointed that FM is still on blogs you love. I just don’t get it as it seems contrary of what you post about.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
To be downgraded to Like blogs. Mainly because of his stellar credit card non pimping policies. I am just very lazy to do edit my lists, too busy reading blogs and commenting on other blogs which stops effective August 1st. Unless it is praise, I will leave the beatings for my own blog’s “Blog Buzz” section lol.
I move slow…literally lately too!
Thanks for letting me know. I encourage feedback and really learn more from the negative feedback!
Too Nashty says
You have got to include The Miles Professor on the blogs you ignore list.
Why is it that she looks like someone who would kill your dog after you slept with her and never called her again? Anyone else notice this? Very frightening, but I wouldn’t mind testing the theory…
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I am afraid now whatever I say it will be perceived as bullying 🙂
John says
Ahhh yes, the Maldives. Has any blogger NOT been to the Maldives and came then blew his/her horn about how she/he scored the best deal for 1% less than the other guy? Of course slip in 8-10 affiliated links? Like Lemmings they go…I wonder how many actually know how to swim? ;)..
Geroge another great post….
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks. Those two comments were by two readers, I am the conductor here only.
For the record, I have not been to the Maldives and don’t really care for it. I would rather go to Cuba before I go to the Maldives 🙂
Award Magic says
We’re quite sad to have not seen anymore positivity towards our site/service. After all, we haven’t written affiliate-link-filled posts about our (non-existent) DOT complaints for having been denied the right to post photos of wives! Nor have we killed any deals – just benefited from them (both for us and for our clients)!
Surely we’ll be up at the top of the “services I like” list to come out next week… Right?! 😉
