Why I’ll apply for an Amex gold card with 25k points when at rankt.com I can get it for 50k and I’m really helping any other normal guy like us and not a huge corporation behind like creditcards.com ?
Same goes with Chase Explorer card, where do you have the 40k plus $100 credit? Again, your referral system is weak.

I still say all the TPG staffers should not get too comfortable. The PE money will run out. Amex appears to be killing the sales commissions to bloggers. The bank/credit card environment is just getting harder. Maybe they should be all focusing on learning more important marketable skills. And PLEASE hold the bullshit now doing editorials about the Saudi journalist and how your company stands for press freedom…we all know your company stands to sell credit cards. It may make you feel better doing these self important announcements but…if there were no credit cards your company would not exist!

My son signed yesterday after managing to increase his signing bonus. Heading to NYC after graduation next year after…he takes four months to travel around the world. I see burned miles thanks to his dad. I am blown away how much money these big tech companies are throwing at Computer Science majors these days. And I am learning a lot about the benefits of the company…Facebook.

Odd how I run a blog primarily around one airline, a smaller one than Delta, and manage to do well enough to pay for an office and a full time staffer.
In fact, that is actually where there is a gap in the US blog market. Think like the flyer. Most flyers are focused on one airline – not always through choice – yet where is the blog for the guy who only flies AA or United? This is also how you get the valued mainstream business traveller newbies.
You can not compare the US and UK markets, they are vastly different!
Also it is important you started early 😉
