Genting, Malaysia. TBB has been on this cable ride! |
ON MY MIND
This will be a quick blog post today as I am dealing with a tsunami of real life in this particular stretch.
Both Citi AA cards are here, gym renewal paid, annual donation to church done and a few visits to my local CVS and looking forward to bag another 100k miles. Waiting for the US Air card. And I should call up US Bank to find out if I was approved the Club Carlson card. Maybe I will get arouund to it.
MILES/POINTS
One Mile at a Time wrote “What the past few weeks have taught us about the hotel loyalty programs“. Excellent post! I sadly agree.
Food, Wine, and Miles is also joining First2Board! Oh wait, this just in. Jeff the Wanderer of Indulge the Wanderlust also joined First2Board! There are now ten, yes 10, bloggers in this community! This is awesome! Question: I guess I need to susbscribe to new Google Reader feeds and delete the old ones?
I wish I had a bot to go out and burn my miles/points. I am too busy to do so myself…there is something fundamentally wrong with this picture:-)
Anyone else following the FT thread “What is the most useful frequent flyer blog?”

Under top beaches, I never imagined that a beach in the UK (Rhossili Bay) could be among the top 10 beaches! Why do they travel to the Maldives, Caribbean, Thailand and even the Mediterranean?I guess they don’t know what they have in their back yard.
TravelBlogger Buzz says
Yes, some of the beaches on the list were very suprising!

George,
I think you deserve some credit for the move to more transparency across our community. F2B is not allowing credit card and crazy manufactured spend scheme pimping, which is a BIG move. It’s gonna be great!
TravelBlogger Buzz says
Thank you. And I already see it moving back to the previous state ever since I stopped calling them on it. Oh well…
I wish you all success in the F2B. I LOVE a travel site where our eye sockets will be protected from the affiliate links! I will try to help & promote it here, you guys concentrate on the content!
I hope it is successful…darn economics from cc affiliate links is compelling. Kudos to you for saying no. I think it makes for a more sustainable practice going forward. When the banks stop paying I expect most of the bloggers will go back to their day jobs. Hopefully they still have marketable skills other than “expert in pushing credit cards online”:-)
The Deal Mommy says
CC Links are tempting, but you can make a lot of pennies one at a time with the right content. Links to amazon et. al still do well, with the added bonus of not getting anyone’s house foreclosed upon! If you buy what you’re selling, people get it. If you don’t, eventually people will get that too.

Where is the “worst of” section? Without it this blog is bland.

Hey, George. Remember when you asked me how you could possible ever use your blog to instigate drama and incite your readers?? Your answer is right ^^there^^
