Matt: I think TBB was instrumental in my decision to question ethics on credit card signups. I may have come to the same conclusion myself, but at the least it would have taken me longer to ask those questions of myself. [ See you in NYC or NJ or…Phoenix, thanks ]
The common man: If your only definition of success is “raking it in”, I think it is pointless arguing with you. [ It sure is, isn’t it? These people are probably the most unhappy, you know, never is enough, they want more more more so they have to sell sell sell. ]
Kumar: Without rebels in any system, the evils of the system are not known to the common man. George is one of those great rebels. [ I love you man! I always wanted to be a rebel fighting the system 🙂 ]
TBB: But who will save the newbies from being mauled by such crap like “you can sign up for seven cards in the same day”…even when you enter your info only looking for cash back cards huh? Even if one person clicks away from credit card pumping factories is a contribution to world peace and to improving humanity. World does not need more bank bitches doing what they are told to pump day in and day out. I have many who emailed me who have thanked me for steering them away and making them understand the impact this credit card affiliate system has unleashed into our hobby. I care about the hobby, these pumpers primarily care about their own pockets first. Besides, they are so busy pumping away and following orders to keep up with the real hobby anyway…,so expert miles/points advice my big fat greek behind!…Most of my miles came from credit card churning….I see you guys blog a lot about this lately…huh?

Looks like TPG made an early attempt for next year’s Douchies (maybe time to change it to the “Assholies”)?
I find it funny how so many folks seem to be upset with the post though – I have long since written off TPG so this kind of behavior is not at all surprising any more.
I also get a feeling that he is getting paid by amazon to write that. Otherwise why should he suddenly bother about it. Amazon is already in huge losses. They don’t gain from free AP and they have to keep spending money just to maintain it and overcome the headache caused by all kinds of hackers. They would have decided to stop it and then call upon some big blogger to write about it, kill the deal so that the entire public can blame that blog instead of amazon. Amazon wouldnt want a PR hit in addition to financial losses. If not that blog, select another top blog. Throw some cheap money. Kill the deal. Blame that blogger. I think we (including the bloggers) are being used as tools in this game run by big corporates and FIs. It is ultimately what the biggies decide. Well, i would also like to add that this is just another thought that came to my mind and i might be wrong. For sense to prevail, we need more people like George to show us the truth.
This community has been getting a little antsy lately…and I think it is understandable.
Not sure if getting paid by Amazon. I am afraid Amazon may kill the affiliate links and then I will be doing all this for ZERO oh no! Made $1.27 woohoo! The point was that his site is the biggest and will certainly drive more to open Amazon Payment accounts. So many it would be noticeable especially after Amazon came out with horrendous quarterly results! We shall see. Many are used by tools, so don’t be one 🙂
