We bring you proof why United changes suck, an interesting interview with Accor Hotels CEO, an Indian penis survey, 10 Years blogging anniversaries, the cheapest One Star Michelin meal, some awesomely beautiful bridges, a totally crazy bridge in China & more!
TBB Blog Mission: To Entertain. Educate. Inspire. In That Order!
This will be a short weekend post. And going forward, no more posts on Saturday. I said this before but this time I am going to do it. And yes I said this before too lol.
The United award changes sucked big time. And DansDeals shows you why.
Nothing good has ever come out of an airline enhancement. I’d rather be told how it is than have their marketing team try to work their spin. #UnitedUnfriendly is rearing its ugly head once again.
The new stopover rules are downright awful, as is the new Excursionist Perk name for the stopover. But quite frankly, the only surprise is that they are still offering some sort of stopover option at all. American and Delta no longer offer any stopovers, though many foreign carriers still do.
The Accor Hotels CEO sure likes to give in-depth interviews. Very educational if you are interested about the hotel business. Still not a word on what he plans to do with Fairmont Presiden’s Club loyalty program.
14 Beautiful Bridges. Another AFAR list.
The cheapest Michelin-Starred Meal costs only $1.50. A Singapore food stall chef makes all hard working food stall owners proud, very touching!
The Great Indian Penis Survey. Hey, I don’t do flight and hotel reviews, rant about the TSA, pump you 50 credit card affiliate links in one post, or bring you breaking news of Amex Offers on how to save $100 when you spend $1,000 or how to save $2 after doing a triple axle jump or something. I bring you entertainment and education. Did you know that 49% of Indian feel “positively mild” about their penises? Well, you do now! 🙂
Do not trust experts when they predict the future. They all suck at it!
This picture is insane…The Chinese like to build stuff like this lately…

Congrats to Brian Cohen of The Gate, 10 years anniversary of his blog, wow! And Marshall Jackson on Travel for 10 years of blogging as well. Everyone who makes it past one year is a hero to me 🙂
It’s the weekend, my imaginary interns are ready!
This refers to the Air Berlin news we linked to yesterday from Head for Points…#serenitynow
Ok, I must stop this…it is not healthy. But who is going to educate the newbies? All other bloggers are playing nice and even linking to these pumping machines hoping to get a link back from them to get more traffic….
I am sick of linking of posts with bits and pieces of the Chase Sapphire Review card coming out…Screw that, I will wait when the new card is out!
And I leave you with this…
It’s the weeeeeeekend!
Please help bloggers you appreciate & make a positive difference in your life by spreading the word about their blogs, emailing and commenting and using their few $ links, thank you!

I respect you and your blog. Your experience in the airline industry is invaluable for your take in what’s happening in it and of course all the cruising related info. Oh, I also appreciate you never went off on pumping your readers unlike others…But some people focus on the negative out there 🙂

As you deliver quality, it is better to slow down than to get burned and quit. I support *free* Saturdays.

I am going to try very hard to stay away from you guys on Saturdays… #developing

Are you telling me that I did that triple axle jump for nothing?

I have a confession. I was the judge that gave you the only 9 in the last Olympics and cost you the Gold medal. But, you know, I feared for my life and just could not turn down a little gift from Putin. I am sure you would understand. Thank you for your service, eeeer, I mean for your triple axle jumps. Continue to be awesome.

Thank you, George. As always, I appreciate the mention…twice!
There is another weblog which is apparently celebrating ten years this month as well:

August of 2006 must have been a good month for incubating weblogs…
…and may TravelBloggerBuzz eventually celebrate its tenth year as well.

You got me there….twice? Did I have another link to your blog? Oh wait…I must have mentioned it in previous post then…My memory is not as sharp. Darn brownies lol.
It is amazing you have written for so long and did not go pumping at all. That is amazing to me. I wish I could do the same but, apparently to some readers, I am a disgusting pumping whore.
I may raid wife’s Spirit miles and do monthly weekend trips with my backpack, you know, like Stefan Rapid Travel Chai does but hitting US cities. Atlanta is on my target if I can get it for 5k RT 🙂
