I enjoy trip reports of places I have never been and likely would never visit. In short, I am sick of First Class flight reviews and luxury hotel suites!
Spent the day yesterday in Caseville, Michigan visiting clients, my girls enjoying the lake and eating cheeseburgers in the world famous (not really) Cheeseburger Festival!

I was amused to see the link to The Vagabond Life in yesterday’s post! I lurk on the Bogleheads forum. (I’ve made a vow that I won’t register on any new forums) The author of that blog is Rick Ferri. Apparently he was a successful portfolio manager and several people on that forum had money invested with him. He left that company but investors weren’t aware of it. Many posts on “Where is Rick Ferri?” Well, I guess we know where he is now!
Yeah, it’s Rick.
He could afford a better trailer 😉
We finally met in person a few years ago in a blogger conference. Very well known in my field, we share the same investment philosophy.
Still eats me inside that my client went to work for him and understandably left me…only client I lost in the last 10 years or so. Out of all places that guy can go to to work for….he chose Rick’s firm, WTF! 🙂
I am aware of Bogleheads of course. I consider myself one but I never registered in their forum either.

Full Disclosure: I did this post and scheduled it on Friday. Saturday was a full day with no wifi, took the familia to my client’s cottage in Caseville, Michigan. Playing in Lake Huron, Cheeseburger festival and stuff like that.
