I am flying Spirit for the first time ever tomorrow! To Philadelphia for business. I am staying at the Doubletree downtown for two nights. I may have time to meet with any blog reader(s) on Friday night, let me know. What are the top one or two or three things to see/do in Philadelphia?
Blog action is slowing down. The trend seems to be mergers and now calls for writers. I saw more than one blog post for them yesterday, which is unusual. I have offered inviting guest posts as long as they can accomplish the blog mission. No takers… And the ones at Boarding Area are way too scared to step out as this blog criticizes several of them…rightfully I may add (praising goes along where it is deserved too!). I am always open to do things differently, please no reviews of Vendome and Maldives…I could go on here for a long time lol.

This blog slowly is turning its attention away from the hobby…I mean, so much boring unimportant stuff lately is just…sad!
Eight fun, quirky budget-friendly hotel chains. Interesting list. Some I had never heard of! I stayed in an Aloft once, not my type. On the contrary, we liked Indigo, my daughter still talks about that “hotel with the cute dog in the lobby”. Anyone stayed in the other ones listed?

The hobby started going down when they cashed the first check from selling credit cards…Years later, they never stopped selling!
Speaking about credit card selling, as we all know The Points Guy should have been renamed The Chase Credit Card Guy a long time ago, we now have this guy selling this credit card like crack dealers were selling crack in Detroit in the 1980s… #barf!

I really liked the Aloft hotel we stayed at in Chapel Hill a while back.
If there are fewer things to write about then shouldn’t there be fewer writers, not more?
Speaking of obscure places in the EU, has anybody ever been to Saint Pierre and Miquelon? I always wanted to go there for some reason.
I had a layover in Mayotte during a recent flight from Moroni, Comoros to Antananarivo, Madagascar. Really wished I’d had a few hours to check out the capital Dzaoudzi, if only to hear a local pronounce “Dzaoudzi”.
I tried to get to St. Pierre et Miquelon while I was in Newfoundland in August, but United’s service withdrawal from EWR-YYT messed up our plans enough that it became impossible.
I finally got to St Pierre et Miquelon on my second try last year. Big disappointment, nothing there. Highlights were a nice wine store and free wifi for 20 minutes at the tourist office.
I’d like the following credit card perk.
100% cash back.
I would also settle for as low as 75% back.
