Thanks for the GREAT links! I expected to be snowed in so I’ll have something
to read then. Assuming, of course, that the internet is up!
It looks like we will miss the snowstorm in a way. But it is going to be so freaking cold, right now is -1F and with the wind chill feels like -15, may get to -25F overnight. If the furnace goes it can be deadly. Gym is closed, saw “Disaster Recovery” trucks, something bigly happened. Staying home.
Anyway, this was mostly already drafted so it did not take much to do. Going back to evolving the blog to spend less time on it and claim my time back and redirect to more productive activities to pay the construction guys wrecking my home lol.
We’re right in the middle of the forecasted big icy section of the storm. Just hoping the power stays on, these ice storms can be the functional equivalent of a hurricane in terms of power outages. Hope you stay warm! I got to feel a -25F (actual temp, not the wind-chill) temperature once and wow, it is hard to convey in words how cold that is.
Good morning Buzz,
Thank you for all the great recent posts. Good luck this weekend with the storm conditions.
Hope the holidays were good to you and your family.
Thanks for the coffees and support David, much appreciated. Holidays were great, been on a diet since then lol.
Will see what happens here, need to dial it down. I think the Chase bank cc restriction situation has made the blog viability very shaky. I am surprised there has not been a big impact to so many cc selling blogs out there. Then again, many on YouTube have been shifting to memberships and sponsorships and I am not going there. Not many these days appreciate quality content that needs to be read. So much YouTube and TikTok and Reels shit. I mean, the BIG thing on YouTube these days to attract clicks is to create video thumbnails. And guess what kind? They all make the stupidest faces in the thumbnails. That is the last thing you will see me do…Maybe that is why I still have only 84 YouTube subscribers lol. Oh, maybe I should post a video one of these weeks 🙂
Thanks for reading guys.
Updated this post with the best video on Bilt to date that starts out with:
“Bilt just launched what might be the most catastrophic credit card program in history” LOL
https://travelbloggerbuzz.com/private-funds-in-401k-plans-breakthrough-technologies-rfk-honorary-virus-bilt-2-0-credit-card-sucks/
Very last link of the post at the bottom.
Thanks for the links! Like I said before, you gotta do what you gotta do. I still hope you will post once in a while and let us all know how you’re doing and whatnot. Simplifying is good though. Me, cancelled 4 cards yesterday and one was a 15 year one that I never applied for (Wells Fargo from their big scandal) Yeah, I’ll take a bit of hit on my score but since I keep getting denied for new cards, who cares. The remodel stuff is a pain, always, but look forward to once it is done. I bet everything will be great!
I will be posting, just have no idea how often and what format my posts will take. Focusing on things that have higher priority now, it’s obvious this blogging thing has no real future. The remodel is, like investing, short term pain for long term gain. Thanks Carl, one day we’ll meet. When daughter stops visiting us and we visit her instead 🙂
Do what you gotta do and if/when you get out west to Seattle or nearby, yes, we need to meet up. It would be a thrill!
BREAKING NEWS: I think I first read about this guy in TBB: https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ryan-wedding-former-olympic-snowboarder-alleged-drug-kingpin-arrested-rcna255579
Oh yeah, I remember that guy, great news! Would have been better if we didn’t get to see Patel’s face and that Bondi mentioned 🙂
Sit tight on the Storm Of Death. I know for my area the prognostications seem to be run by The Magic 8 Ball, with ever-changing forecasts. Hope you ride it through okay.

I think someone should explain to The Dear Leader that those lights cause socialist thinking and therefore the USA must stay away from Greenland.
As I am typing this temperature outside is -12F, WTF! This does not take into account the wind chill…I could have been in Thailand instead of this shit.
I have lot of material. But I see that 0 cc sale indicator since December 11 and it naturally demotivates to start another post.
Stay warm and safe everyone!
Also, I am again on a major media diet, unsubscribing left and right from so many emails. And deleting websites along with accounts in Award Wallet I no longer bother with. And a few more credit cards to unload. Looking forward to see if Chase will try to keep me when I cancel my Sapphire Reserve for Business card. Oh, maybe I should try to claim any credits on that one, all I ‘ve done was the easy $50 GC.
While you freeze we swelter, but as the scientifically challenged like to allege thank god we don’t have global warming.
George, quick question for you. I recall you briefly mentioned that the Hyatt Koh Samui does not compare well to the Conrad. However we are way out of Hilton points with no desire to build those up and are considering a stay at the Hyatt because that will give us the chance to knock out a few more nights towards requalification. Is it a total no or just does not compare favorably?
It is perfectly fine for your goal. And much better location.
The Conrad KS is just special, perfect for special occasions. Like honeymoon etc. And just secluded way out there.
