Pretty strong card by Uber. No annual fee, 4% on dining and 3% on (most) travel is not too shabby. You throw in $600 mobile phone insurance with it and it becomes even better. And who knows…if transfers to airline/partners it may be a no brainer!

What’s left for 5x Ink?
I have been visiting my hometown Larissa in Greece this week and will be here for a while. Obviously, it is getting pretty difficult to keep up with the blog. My brother returns to Brazil on Monday and I hope that I will have more time to get back to normal TBBing. In the meantime, I have sadly accustomed to the huge torture that the Greek government bureaucracy unleashes to its citizens every freaking day. To get anything done here is so plain ridiculous I am physically spent running around at the mercy of phucking lazy assholes who blame others for the crisis and then still rave how much time vacation they earn while we idiot foreigners have to work a whole year to get a few weeks vacation. I shake my head, I say “you are so right” and keep shaking my head. This place, after 8 years of deep crisis, still has such a long way to go. Maybe I do post about it soon.
And I leave you with this…So true…

Today’s schedule:
Coffee at Electric company internal coffee shop, across the street from my house, 50 cents.
With my brother at car rental office. He rented car to go to next town Trikala to go to the tax office there to get the tax to pay and confirmation it has been paid that the notary needs so we can proceed with the sale of my share to him. This is the tiny peace of field that we discovered recently had a bunker built by the Germans and our father never added it in the tax records. Phucking Aaaa Greece!
Went to our accountant. All the recent amendments we have done have been filed but the Greek tax records have not been updated yet…Without these we can not proceed. We hope Monday morning now, pray!
Went to phone company to see why in the world when I got 400 minutes yesterday my phone went dead after 1 minute. Fixed.
Went to nbg bank. I restarted the internet banking, they were locked before. I ordered ATM card, 7 to 10 days, phuck!
Went to piraeus bank, restarted the internet banking. Got ATM card on hand and activated it. Updated mother’s bank account booklet too.
Returned to Tax Office #2. They told me papers would be ready. Good thing the worker is a big fan of the local pro team AEL Larissa and we used to post in the same forum online years ago.And he remembered me. Small world, we chatted about the team. This is how you get business done in Greece. He gives me the papers, go to #2 door sign. I go there. Not this #2, go to #2 around the corner. The dude there does what he does, stamps and signs and prints two pages, go back to the #2 where you came from. I go back there and pay with the ATM card I just got, phew. Back to the original staffer, my amigo. More signatures. Al done. Success.
Back to notary to give the signed papers from Tax Office #2.
In the meantime, my brother has gotten what he needed in Trikala. And he is almost back to Larisa. But nooooo. The idiot forgot the very last step because the staffer at the last office told him it is all done. Phucking A….He needs to return on Monday to pick them up!!!
Somewhere in between I ate a spinach pie. And it was phucking amazing!
The dude in the tax office told me of another AEL team fanatic who used to post in the same internet forum…who returned to Larisa from Toronto and I went to meet him. Small world hey!

You’re an optimist. As long as they show growth, they can continue to burn ~11 billions from VCs. I doubt anyone has spent much time thinking about making money. It’s the brave new Amazon world we live in.
