I am taking the good old Megabus for a quick business trip to Chicago. I used Priceline again after a very long time. I was shut down even after bidding $80 for a 3 star in the Loop area, seriously? So, I burned 50k Hilton HHonors points at The Drake. I will likely be free for lunch/coffee on Friday near Union station, hard to tell right now, it depends on my meeting.

Sadly I have never ended up using my IHG freeeeeeeeeeeeeee night certificates (4 so far). I keep thinking and bloggers keep telling me that $49 is a fantastic rate for IC hotel. But logic tells me that $49/year is pretty expensive for NOTHING.

Were thinking of doing a second post. Then we looked at the clicks from doing a second post yesterday (the one sitting next to an economist). Well, NOBODY clicked on anything (which means Amazon & creditcardsdotcom). Thankfully, this does not happen as often but, oh man, it really hurts. In the age of mega pumping, where assholes keep pumping 40k AmexPlatinum links, where they throw an affiliate link without disclosing it anywhere, in the land of clickbait bullshit and posing with gift cards in front of kiosks, tricking newbies whose finances are likely like almost everyone’s in this country (translation: BAD) and having no temperament for this hobby to get them to apply for credit cards to make money off them selling an expertise (me laughing)…oh phuck it!
I appreciate the support, you know who you are.
Help small bloggers to keep going if you like their blogs so much. There is no doubt that Drew of Travel Is Free would still be blogging if he had that support. Some of us are not just into pumping and deceiving readers, we are into quality and adding value. And laughing, mostly at ourselves 🙂

Okay, bus was an hour late due to horrendous traffic. Other than the couple high on crack or something, Megabus was worth it. LIke $57 round trip Ann Arbor – Chicago. And made a new friend, a new to the US Chinese student studying Accounting. Mentoring and inspiring youngsters since…well, for a long time!
Nice one on Qatar. One of the AA pre-deval flights I booked was Delhi – Doha – Philly on Qatar Business (these 2 legs), Sept 13-14. Lets check it out!
