The changes at Starbucks Rewards are official now. Small spenders like me lose. The revenue based disease is in full blown mode now #sosad. They are even pitching it as “more stars”. Screw you, I am going to stay at Panera now all day long when the changes become effective! I am typing this from my nearby Starbucks (hey, and the barista is trolling me…oh Lord, why why?) Mind you, it makes sense….revenue based loyalty rewards is what makes sense, everyone is coming around. We the hobbyists are an endangered species. Which explains the credit card pimping is becoming more desperate lately…and even more hideous!
Best analysis of the Starwood SPG category changes that I have seen. There are some bloggers out there who actually analyze stuff like this when the few remaining Titans are pumping plastic to even higher deafening levels and the smaller ones are sustained with a few bones (thank you!) thrown at us until…we give up. This new eero wifi is getting some awesome press. Naturally, I assigned it to the intern who keeps bitching to do a pump job at it but also include some useful reviews because when we pump around here we disclose the fact that if you click on that blue linkie we make money. So much that the Titans laugh at us. But we don’t care…we soldier on. Don’t let us quit, gracias! Oh, the price will likely go down. We suck at pumping, MMS would be all arrows and numerous exclamation marks.

Yes, retention calls are still my fav., maybe I’ll need v 2.0 post about it as some of the info is slowly changing and people keep on asking about it on DoC. My favorite is still Citi and Chase, they keep on giving out free money and points, love it! Barclays is not bad, and Amex gives plenty of goodwill pts., gravy train is still in the station, use it!

I have been through the entire length and breadth of India on trains and feel nostalgic seeing the article on the forgotten trains of India.
