As always, I don’t do sponsored posts or stick you with links that earn me dinero without you knowing! Whatever goes here is my own eclectic judgment! If I ever have a referral/affiliate link in the body of my posts, you will know it as it will say so IN CAPS right next to it instead of burying the disclosure language in a place you will never see or drop it in tiny text at the bottom of the post or the top (preferable).
The Top 25 Credit Cards via Mile Nerd. Always start here and see if your favorite blogger pushing inferior offers thinks of his/her pocket more than the benefit of their readers. There are so many of them out there. DON’T GET TAKEN! One of many such examples: The AmexPlatinum card with 40k signing bonus. First two on the Mile Nerd link above show you how you can get A LOT more points than that so if you keep seeing 40k links tell them to go to hell and stop reading these blogs! And for Pete’s sake, do not click on mine for this card!
Using American Airlines Aadvantage miles to the Pacific. Yep, this is why I have been thinking about Fiji lately…
A FAQ on what you need to know before traveling to Cuba.
Rio’s love hotels to welcome Olympics visitors. Mirrored ceilings and stripper poles…yeah baby. But can we get some points too? Bonuses for….I better stop this tangent lol.
Stunningly beautiful hikes around the world. Lame blogger question to create reader interaction, which leads to more page views which leads to more revenue from ads: Which one is your favorite?
Top six things you are doing the day after the bar exam. Mega LOL material!
All right, here is another funny one. Hilarious First-Date Tweets That Will Make You Laugh. So, when you do click one of my links #BOOM
Personal Finance post of the day: The Incalculable Value of Finding a Job You Love. Lots of wisdom here, loved the ending:
The bottom line: Resist the soul-crushing job’s promise of extra money and savor the more satisfying conditions you’ll find in one that pays a little less.
Amazing photographs in the Arctic by Anna Filipova. The one below is mind-bending!

Note: This section is geared to more advanced travel hacking enthusiasts!
This section is making me tired again…Seems we are going in circles lol.
With the major US airlines now awarding miles based on revenue, we are not too far from the other shoe to drop…burning miles at just a penny per mile so we can all kiss goodbye to all aspirational awards. I say Delta and/or AA will start it…they are pretty much doing it anyway by the continued devaluations and manipulation of award calendars. Oh, speaking of award calendars, good luck finding them on the Delta website—–>this should be illegal!
I woke up the other day and looked at the Blogs To Ignore list and just felt Mommy Points does not belong there with the mega marketers…What do you think? Personal attacks are not welcome here, they never were! Keep it strictly based on blog quality, thank you. Maybe I should reorder this list and place on the top that blogs that pump/suck the most. This is about TBB being the blog thought leader turned blog critic (hey, this is what critics DO, spare me all the BS blah blah blah)…Ultimately, it is about education and protecting newbies before they are attacked by these marketing machines masquerading as experts doing it all out of the goodness of their hearts to help friends and family travel for free #NOT
Can you imagine the backlash if I did this in the first of the month? Don’t their readers get it after a few days that they are just a plastic target? If there is one thing about View From The Wing that I do admire…is the unbelievable consistency in cranking out blog posts, several a day, every freaking day for so many years, wow!
Apparently One Prestige Executive Card at a Time was tweeting (and I assume blogging) about a really bad flight he had. Yawn…
The Gate turned 10 years old. Ten years, wow! That is an incredible achievement, congratulations!
And The Flight Deal turned 5 years old! Sometimes I wonder why bother with miles, just jump on one of their deals and save us all the hassles:-) Congratulations too!
You know it’s bad out there when it hurts pressing the Delete button in ANA’s email for, its credit card for, please sit down, 10,000 miles. Please shoot me now!
I type here what comes to my mind. Or some of it. You REALLY do not want to read everything that comes to my mind. #dirtydirt 🙂
And I leave you with this…The way to kick a PK!
Please help bloggers you appreciate & make a positive difference in your life by spreading the word about their blogs, emailing and commenting and using their few $ links, thank you!

Thanks.

TravelBloggerBuzz says
Definitely Gold with a CSP 🙂

The Reykjavik church is ugly as sin.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I like it…
Andy Shuman says
The view from the top is great… on a good sunny day, which I haven’t had during my 4-day stay in Reykjavik. 🙂 Seriously, though, I loved walking up the main street toward the church, it’s kind of opening up.

I vote for taking Mommy Points off the Ignore list. Last year, Chase had an offer for the UA card which some of the Ignore blogs, including MPs, pumped. Then people learned you could get a $50 statement credit if you applied on the UA site during the booking process. Comments to several blogs noted this but MP was the only one I saw that wrote about the workaround that meant she didn’t get paid but her readers got the $50. Others left their affiliate link out there like a tip jar.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Ok, thanks for the feedback.
Raj says
I’m pretty sure the reason for this was that she lost her Chase links. When she had them, she was as corrupt as the others. I vote no. It’s easy to be conscientious when that’s all that’s available to you.
harvson3 says
I may have made this comment before.
There is (or was) a loyalty program for love motels across Brazil. The program was named “Bons de cama” or “Good in bed.”
The gif is Botafogo.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
How do you reach Diamond in that program? 🙂
Okay…don’t answer that. Lol
John says
MommyPoints definitely belongs to the list of blogs to ignore.
The only reason why she has not been pumping as much lately is because she lost her links. Go back to the posts before she lost the links and you will see her being as bad as the titans.
She’s even worse because she uses her kids to score sympathy points and credit card clicks.
Me says
Agree that she should stay there. No clue about the current decline, but she was pumping before. Especially bad since she sells her family for it.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks for the feedback.
There are some sins that can not be forgotten…
I just don’t think she belongs in THAT group. And current level of pumping is very subdued compared to the alternatives.
I move very slow….Leaning towards taking her out as of now… #developing
John says
Really, you don’t think she belongs to that group?
Who went on ABC Nightline multiple times and said the phucking word “free” 50 times?
There has been so many shameless posts that I’ve lost count.
John says
This greedy blogger also suggested people to sign up for Ink cards with a “dog sitting” business.
Also, this greedy blogger goes out of her way to suggest bullshit businesses to get people to sign up for Ink cards. When the Citi AA Business cards were offering churnable 50k sign up bonuses, she went completely silent on these and all of a sudden said she wouldn’t suggest people to make up businesses.
If that’s not a dishonest titan blogger, I don’t know what this is. Again, the only difference with the titans is that she uses her family to make her readers connect with her more. You are buying the bullshit George.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Oh yeah…that Nightline clip. omg!
Hey, dog sitting is better than baby-sitting business 🙂
Diapers are expensive man. Gotta give the full timers some slack.
My point is the pumping has stopped at a much higher level than the rest who just kept on pumping…
I miss all the Chase posts 😉
Raj says
What’s the point of pumping if you have nothing to pump?
Tom R says
The SPG to AA transfer deal actually works for me. I book flights back and forth to Asia every 6 months for my mother-in-law. I usually book her in J on Star Alliance or One World. This mornings transfer gave me an extra 20K miles for the 70K redemption for Cathay Pacific.
When I stay at hotels in Asia, I usually stay at Conrad’s or Hyatt’s so the transfer of SPG points works out for me. I still don’t trust TPG’s recommendations.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
These can work in limited situations…
But in general, the best value is redeeming hotel points for hotel stays. Especially SPG now that they are going away #sosad
Ramsey ..... telling it like it is says
Mommy Points is one of the folks who killed this Hobby to greedily line here own pockets, let her
stay on the S-list.
Buzz I just finished watching the 5 part series (free On Demand) called OJ SIMPSON MADE IN
AMERICA. BRILLIANTLY DONE! This is part of the ESPN 30 for 30 Documentary series, NOT
the piece of shat about OJ that came out recently starring David Schwimmer. This truly is must
see TV. Left me with 2 thoughts, OJ is the World’s Best Actor (he whole life’s persona was an
act).
Also, Black people deep down really hate White people (watching the jubilation when OJ was
deemed not guilty).
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thanks again for the feedback and the deep social commentary…
Thinking of the Korean lady leveling the cock completely…”&5 years is not old for a cock”…
For new readers, please see youtube video posted by Ramsey in the past several days. Cock=clock.
FullMoon says
I don’t feel Mommy Points is a mega marketer in the mold of, say, TPG–who clearly has no conscience.
Her recent decision to blog about SPG giving her folks free Ryder Cup tickets showed her intent to disclose some of the perks she gets. This stuff happens, but the Titans keep silent about it, for the most part. While I had mixed feelings about this situation, I appreciated her transparency about it. Disclosure is key with the blogs I choose to read.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Thank you for the feedback…I am certainly have been leaning towards the way you feel about the MP blog as well.
There is disclosure and then there is TPG or FTG or MV like disclosure…
Then again, having a meaningful, clear and visible disclosure sure….does not help conversions 🙂
I need to take a nap…#aging
