The United changes were awful. It continues the trend that is proceeding to hammer all of us in this hobby. The trend is clear, it feels like death with 1,000 cuts or however that saying goes. When I saw the news, I felt depressed. Desperation started to set in for good. I just can’t believe there are blogs specializing on mileage runs still out there! Trying to deal with this with some humor as always. Can you believe they came up with a perk named Excursionist? My point has been…The hits continue, they keep on coming. What is so pathetic is that now the United press releases are even starting to sound like Delta’s trying to pass off these are real enhancements, in other words, treating their passengers like complete morons! So…you are loyal to an airline you sucker? Free agent has been the way to go! Loyalty is being redefined before our very eyes, omg what a complete change the last several years have been, wow!
Of course this does not deter the credit card salesmen bloggers doing what they do every day, sell sell sell
I bet some precious body parts of mine if it was not for the credit card sales revenue they would not be involved in our hobby, it is a BIG business to them so…beware what you are sold, it’s all about conversions—–>profits FIRST!

Oh I saw the corpse cupboard article yesterday too. My daughter was on a plane where someone died. She was flying home from South America over the holidays and a whole family was traveling to the US and grandma died. They evidently put her up in the bulkhead and put a sheet or blanket over her. The rest of the family cried loudly the rest of the flight. It was memorable to say the least.
Omg, how awfully traumatic for that family…and other passengers too!
