And just when you thought View From The Wing had enough blogging about the United incident, he came right out of the gate yesterday morning with, please sit down, with “Is the United Passenger Dragging Incident a Sign of American’s Social Divide?” Enough, I am done with this shit!

You guys know that this tops the number of comments in the Frugal Travel Guy blog for a week right?
ABC says
My guess would be that Ingy spends more time here than FTG.
TBBTheDude says
Certainly!
Ingy says
Congrats George. You’ve graduated from 1,2, 3 to first, second, and third and now all the way to gold, silver and bronze!!!
Still a ways to go to actually supporting the blog though. That takes click, click and click to find the right link, and the readers belief your lack of content, constant whining and complaining about others deserves a click on the first place.
But keep at it buddy. You’ve made such progress
. says
Good Morning Mr. Ingersol, I believed you forgot your Gravatar.
Brenton says
It’s crazy to me that someone with such poor writing skills ran a successful blog, even if it sold out way too early. Was it just impossible to fail back then because you got into the game so early?
TBB Gang Member #287 says
How much money do you think Ingy left on the table by selling out too soon? Not to mention all the BIG money getting paid out nowadays. He had to of left behind millions of dollars, I would be grumpy too.
Ingy I understand. Just remember I am here for you. Nice Gravatar, you have aged nicely, my man.
Ingy says
How much do you think my “earn out” was the three years after the sale?
Oops. Seems you may have forgot that part??
Ingy says
Love the comments from
The peanut gallery. Remember I was George’s favorite blogger so it couldn’t have been too bad. I wrote for four years before “payday” and saw the handwriting on the wall when all the BA bloggers flooded the market. That even led to a so called critic joining the fray. Never once regretted the exit timing. Still living on the dividends and interest and sale of several private placements. And the portfolio is still up almost 50% after living expenses.
So get on George’s links: Here’s how:
Click, then click again and then again and one more time and by now you’ll either be at a travel card or secured credit card. Take your pick but click click click. Imagine offering secured credit cards?

TBB Gang Member #287 says
Sorry I did forget about the earn out after three years after the sale part. How could anyone forget that, please forgive my error. My bad, my brother.
What is a “private placement”? Call me an idiot or too lazy Google.
Any Trump Rally dough?
Ingy says
Nice bump with Trump rally. Thank you.
Offering to private investors and not requiring an SEC filing. Think of partnerships in hotels, office buildings etc.

Keep George in Business. I love TBB!!!!!
Brenton says
All the rhetoric about “click, click, etc…” makes it seem like you don’t understand this generation in the slightest.
We all know what card we’re going for when we sign up, and we aren’t deciding because of a clickbait headline.
How does it feel to see good writer after good writer come and go from ftg because they don’t even have a voice in the headline of anything they write? At least they have integrity when they inevitably leave.
Ingy says
Good catch. The exact reason I left. Started January 2016 and I was gone by June 2016
TBBTheDude says
Brenton,
There is a lot of dough from newbies who fall for “content” like what you see at FTG….Just saw “Chase Ultimate Rewards Ranked” over there, wonder why smh.
It is amazing to me why anyone who does not enjoy a blog spends hours here being one of the top commenters making himself look even more ridiculous…But hey, thanks for all the support! I mean….check this out woohoo

Internet Brands vs Bankrate multiples = LOL
Same old arguments, another day…Yawn.
If you are looking for a writer gig you can just ask you know…That gives me an idea, remember that Zach greek comedian doing those wild interviews…I can interview Ingy but…man, he has no sense of humor #sosad
Sorry Linda but he won’t leave!!!!
ABC says
Just out of curiosity. Why do you think Bankrate bought MMS?
MMS clearly peaked a few years ago and has been running on autopilot. It’s been a declining business and I have yet to see an improvement to the site.
In my view there’s minimal upside.
Ingy says
For the income stream obviously.
I am a strong believer that individual entrepeneurs (sp) are far more effective at running something so personal as a blog than corporate owners.
But the income stream keeps on flowing. Be sure, they got their monies worth and then some.
The sale of FTG was good for both parties and that’s the point of the sale. All the crap on here about sold too soon misses that very simple concept. I wanted out and they wanted in, and both parties wanted a profit. We both got just that.
ABC says
I’m not talking about FTG. Bankrate bought FTG before the peak and while CC sign ups were still growing. They probably generated a decent ROI.
With MillionMilesSecret I just can’t see it. It’s expensive to buy a declining revenue stream. And I don’t see any synergies between MMS, FTG and TPG. They are run as separate entities.
Ingy says
Duh, Bankrate didn’t buy FTG. Internet Brands did
ABC says
“I am a strong believer that individual entrepeneurs (sp) are far more effective at running something so personal as a blog than corporate owners.”
I agree with this. From a bottom line standpoint ($) Brian Kelly may be the only exception.
Brenton says
“I wanted out and they wanted in, and both parties wanted a profit. We both got just that.”
Your Trolling and my loyalty toward George aside, I do completely respect that argument.
TBBTheDude says
So, when this blog gets bought out…it will pain me not to invite Ingy….should I? I mean, such dedication has been instrumental to…still being relevant after 4.5 years.
All the other regulars are in!
Brenton says
I think you have to invite him. Standing on the shoulders of giants, and all that…

I’m not sad at all. Reading the whining and complaining makes me grateful I got out when I did. Hey tbb readers give him your clicks if your scores are high enough
Anonymous says
It’s good to be grateful and thankful for what you have. This is the way you should be every day.
Ingy says
I try to be grateful everyday. Tanon for the confirmation. And nothing starts my day off on that track better than a minute on TBB
TBBTheDude says
Thank you for your support.
I have no doubt the average credit score of my readers is below 600. A day does not go by without me thinking if I only had secured credit card direct affiliate links…
bwahahahahahahahahahahaha
TBBTheDude says
Apologies to all readers who find this trolling distasteful.

Yep, George today is not a day I would call TBB “The Blog that makes me Smile” But I did anyway with that throwing Cats at wedding photo. Even sent it to my wife but I did put a TBB credit for the photo. 😉
TBBTheDude says
John…He won’t leave man!
Yeah love that throwing cats site, so…epic!

I never thought I’d agree with Ingy the old bitter loser. But he isn’t saying anything false about George anymore. The blogger readers and the trolls are all bad here.

Thank you for your support.

Private placements? Lol.
Maybe Ingy is auditioning for another writing gig because he needs the money?
John says
Although I agree about the lack of integrity I think we all know Ingy is the last person who should be saying anything. He is one of the worst.
TBBTheDude says
Thanks.
Since I lack integrity so much…I should start pushing secured credit cards then? Ingy thinks you are all a great market for that 🙂
Ingy says
We’ll they obviously can’t get your good cards or they would, wouldn’t they? Hmm??
I love tbb. Use these links. The more you use , the less he’ll beg
TBBTheDude says

You are right!
Everyone, don’t forget to apply for them seven at at time. In the same day. Hurry! #Integrity #LOL

George don’t push it. After four plus years they still can’t get past 3, three or bronze
Sad Clown George says
George you can “joke” about integrity all you want but you still won’t have it. Nobody will ever buy this blog because you made it a joke.
Btw dont think you won because of this post Ingy. You are a sad, stubborn, small old grouch. Your blog was always a joke too.

Everyone….While trolls having no life spending it on blogs they don’t like (how sad is that, on Good Friday!), I’ve been busy burning some miles with Mrs. TBB at Starbucks 🙂
Burned 25,500 Delta miles times 3 DTW-SFO, woohoo! In late July/early August. Will check son working at Mountain View while there and have some fun. Need to plan hotels there soon.
Looks like I will hit the Fairmont Claremont at Berkeley, maybe do the San Fransisco flagship property too. Of course, freeeeeeee.
Any SFO airport hotels that are good deals on points? With shuttle, getting in late.
Then burned 15k Avios for relative from NYC to visit us in mid June.
Saver levels baby!
Burn burn burn.
It is hilarious to me the trolls really think I bank on selling my site. Mega lol.
Happy Easter. I should have a post Sunday.
Raj says
TBB, how do you still get free nights at the Fairmont? I could’ve sworn you already used some free nights in the past few months? Even with lifetime platinum, they’re not just giving away free nights, are they?
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I burned two free nights at the amazing San Diego Del Mar property as they were expiring. So, I have another two free nights, one as Platinum and one from the $12k spend per year in the Fairmont Visa. And I have many gift cards that can pay another night (or two or three).
Yeah, it’s been a great ride with this deal….Accor will likely kill it this year #sosad

New post is up, I lied about not posting on a Saturday. Because I have no integrity at all woohoo!
