I had no idea that the US Bank Altitude Reserve Visa card is available with my links. Until a reader alerted me to it when he let me know he applied for it. US Bank does not show up under “Card Issuer” so I thought that bank never had any affiliate links. I need to spend more time learning about this stuff. Oh, the card does come up when you click “Visa” Under “Card Issuer”. You learn something new all the time!
Chase is beating all the other banks, there is no comparison! Citi tried to “enhance” the Citi American Airlines AAdvantage Platinum card by adding a 2x category for gas and restaurants, raising annual fee to $99 from $95 and, please sit down, giving a $100 AA flight discount AFTER you spend $20k. Bwahahahahahaha, come on guys, what are you thinking? Call me for consulting, I am cheeeeap lol.

George, Now that the JetBlue/Amazon deal is dead, may I make a suggestion to you/the readers?
I have been on a bit of an “Amazon stay-away” but have dispensed with the standard link on my browser tool bar after some experimenting.
I deleted the direct link. Then, I went to YOUR link to open the Amazon window. Once on Amazon via that, I then clicked to Bookmark it.
Lo and behold, the extra detailing after the standard Amazon web address showing it is your link, stayed in the web address. I cannot KNOW from this end that this works, thus making using your link automatic without having to go to it every time, but it seems like it should.
Just wanted to throw that in. If that works for people, they can do a one time change and every time the use Amazon, then it would automatically go through your link thing, or show it was via you.
I have no idea if this works. Any bloggers familiar with how these things work to confirm?

Interesting that TPG chose to “review” the Chase Freedom card with the new rumor coming about the potential restriction of transferring those points to UR cards Think he got a heads up and is trying to pump that part as fast as he can?
Yes! I think it is going to happen when I saw the 3% FU offer. Jamie at Chase will not allow the transfers to CSR to get 4.5%…he is not THAT dumb! Details tomorrow, my first two paragraphs are about this I just finished writing them!
Probably just the next logical step. Chase’s travel partners have devalued their award charts which has allowed Chase to not have to pay as much for the mileage transfers and now the part that likely costs Chase the most is the 1.5 cents for travel.
I have to say, I would rather they mess this up than to cut the redemption rate on the CSR and other UR cards. I can still earn UR points with things like their portals and bonus categories and love getting my 1.5 cents on redemptions.
My Freedom points are safe with the CSP points now, phew! 🙂
