It was an unusually super slow weekend in the miles/points blogosphere! It even allowed me to devote a whole blog post to rant on Delta, hooray!
The people at MileCards continue to justify their entry to the TBB Blogs I like list by delivering another great post on how to use the British Airways to find hidden AAdvantage Awards. This post was forwarded to Mrs. TBB who has been helping with award searching lately…TBB never stops educating #evilsmile.
Remember that time when we all got weird emails from British Airways and had to change our passwords. Well, a hacker was arrested in New Delhi!
The world’s most remote cities… Totally fascinating article. We learn about Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in Russia, Iquitos in Peru, Medog in Tibet, Nuuk in Greenland. Must read if you are into this stuff!
Gripping photos of 21 indigenous communities around the world.
I love interesting maps, what can I say?
With fear finally back in the market, this is some good reading to get you to calm the phuck down π
The worst question of them all: “So, what do you think of the market right now?”
Reminder: Stocks go Up AND Down…Or this is why getting advice from Suze Orman and Jim Cramer should be criminalized lol.

Worth a comment? Well, you can’t make up news.
How about “A friend told me ‘I have some Delta miles…….'”. Nah, my readers won’t fall for that junk.
Mondays in late August. And the living is easy.

Sorry 2nd.

Third.

Ironically, I recommend Head for Points readers to use aa.com instead of ba.com – because ba.com is very unimaginative when looking for domestic US routings.
A friend of mine was moaning that he couldn’t get to Burning Man on Avios recently. I stuck his dates into aa.com and, voila, a routing via Philly that ba.com could not find, but which BA by phone would happily book.

Public announcement: Stocks Go Up AND Down . . .
Yes, it can hurt when it goes down.
Even Lawrence Summers is “worried”. He’s been wrong since the 90’s. https://twitter.com/LHSummers/status/635814574374170624

what’s so bad about Suzie? Jim Cramer is nuts, but Orman?
Nick @ Personal Finance Digest says
For one thing, she’s begging the Fed for QE4.
ABC says
Where’s the government when your wallet is hurting? Time to draw a line in the sand. Dow Jones is not allowed to go below 15000! It worked for the Chinese.

“For one thing, sheβs begging the Fed for QE4.”
She must be an idiot-QE2 is in dry dock and they haven’t even built QE3 yet:

George was spotted at Taco Bell, apparently no more sushi for him lol

I am seeing a pattern in the Top 3 developing…
@Raffles: Interesting, thanks. But is there any way to avoid calling them fine BA reps? π
@ABC: Hilarious link
@Sam: Too much QE talk, I thought it was the jitters. When everything has been said, you can always blame them jitters.
@Oliver2002: Suze is up there with Jim Cramer, at least Jim is entertaining. Suze better stick to basic advice and for crying out loud shut up about stock markets as she is clueless. Oh, she would sell her skin to make a buck, she has gotten into some shitty affiliate arrangements with insurance companies etc. I actually met her in Ann Arbor, she is tiny!
@Ludicrous: You know it, who can’t afford sushi after this rout. Click my links Bro π

Thanks Buzz for linking to that thing about AA and BA and so forth.
Bottom line just tell me, when I get to the point of next set of miles to start saving it would be AA right ?
I know we’ve covered this before but this stuff makes it more confusing for me ! ! !
If I ever go on another trip again, I’ll tell the awards travel booking service guy about this stuff.
Yeah the girlfriend in England didn’t work out that well, funny though she thinks everything is fine, go figure.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
Yeah AA, better hurry as I hear chatter the BIG devaluation from them is coming sooner than we expected!
If she thinks everything is fine, she is not getting it so move on π
Mike says
Thank you sir I guess we’ll see if she is going to have a change in attitude, yes it is rather a funny thing isn’t it ?
