Breaking: There is a new offer for the Chase Freedom Unlimited card offering 3x on ALL spending in the first year. Only ethical blogs are mentioning it. No more 25k Amex SPG card offers, I deleted them from the list of the best card offers available with my links. The new offers are REALLY really bad!
Doctor of Credit has posts and direct links for more Chase card offers for Aer Lingus, Iberia Plus and British Airways that offer the following bonus structure in general: 50k Avios after $3k spend, another 25k Avios for spending $10k in first year and then another 25k Avios for another $10k spend (total spend $20k!). These are the best offers out there. I need to update my Best Offers list again I know…if I had an intern!

I had a horrible day yesterday, it started with my beloved hometown Larissa soccer team losing in the absolute last gasp play of the game and costing us a place in the Greek Cup final! You have no idea how devastating this result was as we played a hell of a game and deserved to advance. Still in disbelief. There was more crap which led me away from my blog comments because I needed to detox a little bit.

I have tickets for the Emirates box (best box at Arsenal) for what is now Wenger’s last home game.
However … on Monday I was told that due to TV scheduling the game is moving from Saturday to Sunday. On Sunday, as it is a holiday weekend in the UK, I am booked with the wife and kids into a Hilton by the seaside.
Cannot refund or change the tickets as they won’t be handed over until photo ID has been shown. Terrific.

Sorry to hear about that, Raffles. European soccer’s (UK and Spain, at least) way of scheduling–you don’t find out exactly when a match is played until about a month out–makes it very hard for us Yanks to be able to schedule a match to fit our travel schedules (assuming we plan more than a month out). Add to this the difficulty of getting a Tier 1 Premier league match without being a season supporter, and it’s really a longshot.
I just got back from 2 weeks in England and the only match that we could book ahead of time was Oxford FC. Watching this Tier 3 team was like watching my son’s high school team play. Brutal.
But I also managed to nab some last minute tickets to watch my favorite team, Fulham, beat Reading. Awesome!
Anyways, sorry to hear about your tough decision. I’m curious about what you will do. (Maybe let the wife go away for a “weekend with the kids”?)

Do you actually like the $1 coins? I feel like there are two schools on those, love and hate. The lovers just hoard them and remove them from circulation as soon as they spot them defeating the purpose of the coin.
However, I do have a couple unopened rolls of either Kennedy or Lincoln someday maybe they will be worth more than $25!
The way you wrote about doc, made it sound like he had paid links… I was going to say Bowtie exits; doc steps up but realized you were referencing non-affiliate direct links. I wonder what sort of exit package Bowtie negotiated, but he’s just been cashing checks and not much else for years already.

Is Membership Rewards still worth collecting anymore? I used to have a lot but kinda got out of it. I’m not sure the remaining airline partners are that great…maybe ANA?
ANA is full of sweet spots. Europe and South America for 88k in business class. EVA in business class for 95k. And pretty much any award on their own metal.
I am waiting for MR bonus transfer promos. Actually, Delta Skymiles worked great in getting son one way award AMS to DTW in short notice!
Whenever I log into ANA I feel like I am transported back into DOS computer era 🙂
