Amazing Animal Bridges and Crossings. It’s about saving animals, thousands of them!
Rio’s Olympic venues, six months later. Nothing unusual, same thing happened to Athens. And pretty much it is guaranteed to happen in each Olympics. I say we return the Olympics to Greece permanently to save them and to save Greece…ok, I am biased and I am not smoking anything.
Swimming with Stalin. Wow, what a photo!

The World of Hyatt willย require 60 nights to qualify as a Globalist and not 55. I can’t wait to see bloggers posting selfies from Hyatt lounges living the life…just remember the 60 lol. Come on, I dare you, be just a “Member”.
Interesting post regarding the Marriott/Starwood merger from the 2017 Loyalty conference. I am shocked that the crossover of SPG members and active Marriott members is just 11%. I was also shocked that these guys were able to get all the tech work done and let members almost instantly exchange points and elite statuses minutes after the close of the deal…not sure I have ever seen that happen elsewhere! But make no mistake, give it some time and SPG members will get screwed, RIP SPG!
If you wanted to see what Iranian money looks like…
This blog will hopefully never resort to this level to sell credit cards. Because, come on! But I must do something because all this non clicking is starting to get to me lately…I wish that was not the case…Darn Greeks, bunch of whiners ๐
View From The Wing posts “16 Things I Love about the New Chase Ink Business Preferred Card” and “The 5 Best Rewards Credit Cards Overall”. Only 16? Lol. And I got blasted by Dan of DansDeals in my comments because one day apparently I added a paragraph attempting to sell my crappy link where readers have to search for the damn links to apply. It is quite amusing, really.
Oh, almost forgot, available here, last day!!!<—-Notice THREE exclamation marks, do you feel the urgency, do you feel it? AMEX Blue For Business โ 10k Upfront, 10x On Restaurants & 2.3x Everywhere
Breaking: Thanks to the reader who got the Amex SPG card with my links! Help small bloggers before…they give up or sell out to The Points Guy too!
And I leave you with this…Every time I look at this I shake my head.

Ahh that sucks man. I had sciatica down my left leg a few years ago. What healed it?…I started practicing yoga! It’s a magical practice for the mind and the body

I was honestly surprised that so many bloggers apparently missed the 60 nights for Hyatt Globalist this year. Yes, that is a lot of nights for a chain with the size footprint Hyatt has but it is not like Hyatt changed that number. It was that from the beginning.
Ryan says
That was kinda surprising. Saw some of the headlines and thought there was some weird detail that I missed but nope. I’ve given up on chasing loyalty with hotels, and while I really like Hyatt it’s not worth going out of my way for.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
55 or 60…does it matter to most of us non road warriors now? Yeah, I thought it was 55…
RIP World of Hyatt to me. I will still use Hyatt points from Chase when it makes sense.
Ryan says
The animal bridges are so cool!
Last I read about Basic Economy fares, some of the bank rewards portal sites (Chase, Amex, Citi, etc) were not so great with showing BE fares or allowing you to choose something else (this was back when it was only DL so far). But I can’t recall the details – need to research – that’s the biggest worry to me since I would never get hoodwinked into buying a BE fare straight-up.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
A soon as I saw them bridges, I knew it was TBB worthy material I had to share.
Oh yeah about them BE fares, see lead blog post tomorrow.
JohnnieD says
Was recently looking up fares via the chase reserve site and was looking how to avoid these “be” fares when it hit me. All I have to do is book the flight on JetBlue! Done!
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I wish JetBlue flew more into Detroit…Until then, I will have to pass…And I think they are going to get bought out at some point #wildguess

Last night I was telling my grand kids stories about the past and how wonderful it was. They loved the ones about the days whereI could get as many credit cards as I wanted.
But they could not believe the story about TRAVELBLOGGERBUZZ.COM, that it use to get over 100 comments almost every day. Funny, pee in your pants comments! The kids all shouted “Grandpa stop kidding around.”
The Grand Kids said, “Can’t you help?” I said OK, but I have already tried.
SOMEHOW TBB MISSED THIS STORY!!!

Yes

Oh man, that condition, so horrible. I feel for her…really.
Maybe I should interview IngysFormerLover? ๐
Sam says
Way too complicated analogy. You should stick to simple ideas to avoid stories that get lost in the telling.
For example, consider the phrase “It’s only business”:

Re: Olympics: every bloody site that hosted an expo, Olympics or World Cup has gone down the drain and has some ruins to show. The downward spiral started with 1976 Montreal which made a loss. Since then it’s been bigger and better, and bigger and bigger…
Ryan says
I’d be happy to see the Olympics go away altogether…such a waste of resources and the locations end up crappy afterwards. It’s like a kiss of death for a venue.

WC in Qatar in 2022, 12 big venues. Just what that small country needs.

The 1984 Olympics in LA turned a profit, I think because they already had most of the infrastructure built.
TravelBloggerBuzz says
I think Greece’s Olympics was…the beginning of the end. Been downhill ever since
Raffles says
London, to be fair, is free of white elephants. The stadium is now an (expensively converted) football and athletics stadium, the pool is a community pool, the BMX track remains. We built temporary facilities for some of the other stuff which have been taken down and are being reused at other places.
More importantly, what was a (literal) dump is now a massive park which lots of new housing and amazing connections to central London.
