Hello from my hometown Larissa, Greece. It is a weird time to be here with the pandemic going on…I missed Thanksgiving back in the US, my favorite holiday. Going to take a little break to revisit some of the mini trip reports that have been published in my blog over the years. Of course the very detailed ridiculously long mega trip reports are all in their own permanent page HERE.
Enjoy digesting the food you consumed yesterday and the weekend coming up!

I like the new ‘as-it-happens’ trip report on Twitter. Captures the feeling way better than memories a long time later, if you know what I mean.
I could not keep up the #TBBTripping hashtag….So I post a few updates over in my non TBB Twitter account instead.
I just checked my wife’s Singapore Airlines account my return to the US trip is booked with….I can not change it online. I need to bail out here earlier I think before I catch Covid. I will look to see if I can book myself with UA miles over the weekend…and possibly sacrifice these SQ miles. Greece is great…in summertime and non pandemic times.
Be careful out there everyone, this phucking virus is not done with us!

Getting out of Dodge a week early…
Burned 36k UA miles on same routing again SKG-FRA on Aegean and then on to DTW on Lufthansa. Coach. It will be weird flying coach but it is daytime flights so it will be just fine.
Stopping at Hyatt Regency in Thessaloniki for two nights and one night again at the FRA Hilton property (rebooked at 38k HH points instead of 55k).
I need to cancel my SQ award and am resigned to see the miles go poof because they have been extended to the max….

It sure does…My mother says Jesus is coming for us again for sure for the 2nd time…oh man.
I tested negative again this morning in a rapid test. But seeing what happened at the two cases in Hong Kong…how repeated negative tests were then met with a positive PCR test days into the quarantine sure does not look good you guys.

Don’t panic man, you’ll be fine. Both my wife and daughter (then unvaccinated) caught Covid and it took 10 days to run its course. Wife said go book a hotel, but I said “no,” the trooper I am. 🙂
Never got infected. You gotta believe in the vaccine because it does deliver. Surely, one can still get infected, but the odds are still on your side.
